Default Possibly buying. Want opinions

So I've been searching around for a 350z for a bit. Starting an awesome new job Monday. Which can afford the car. I found a Daytona Blue 05 Touring edition, with 43000 miles on it. The car is beautiful. 3 owners, and one fender bender. I'm about ready to buy it but the dealer said last second I gotta pay up front 1300 in fees. Any suggestions? Is this a deal or not? I test drove it and she felt fine. No noise, or shakes. Only issue is, look at the good closely. It doesn't close flush with the front bumper. It's raised about a half an inch.

It's an automatic. Don't do it.

Have to agree. Unless you have some issue with driving a manual keep looking. No offence to those that own auto's but the Z is a sports car and an automatic just isn't a good fit for this type of car.

Sorry for the double post. The first one I didn't realize I put it on the wrong section.
As for the tranny, I want to learn a manual, just I don't want to learn on a new car and screw it up.

Also I've read up that the manual has quite a few issues? Reverse not working, clutches sticking, and then the refusal to go into third gear?

I don't know where you're reading that?

2003 and early 2004 had some issues. My 2004 still has the full original transmission and I have had no issues with it.

The manual trans in the Z is clunky. The 2003 was the worst.

But as long as you don't drive like you stole it you'll be good..

I noticed a strange looking shifting thing on the center console. What is that?

Don't get an auto just because you cant drive stick. I was in the same situation a couple months ago. My only car of 5 years was an auto. When I bought my Hr daytona blue Z I had no idea how to drive it. My dad had to drive it back home for me. Took me a couple days to really learn how to drive it comfortably. You wont mess anything up man its not rocket science. I will never buy another automatic car just no comparison.

I know I recommended a manual in an earlier post, but I forget to mention a plus the auto does have over the manual. If it's a daily driver and a lot of your driving is stop and go in heavy traffic an automatic can be a blessing. Clutch out drive a few feet, clutch back in, over and over for even a few miles, day after day, can get to be a pain real fast.

Auto isnt that bad its really up to what you want.

I personally think the manual is more fun in a car like the z. But to each their own..

Okay! Really stupid question. What does "hr" Daytona blue mean? Like, I get the color but what does "Hr" mean?

And as for this deal, I had to let it slip. Had something come up. So there hasn't been any decisions on Mt or At yet.

Hr means high revolution. The 2007+ has this motor means more horsepower and higher rev limit. I drove both an hr and de and didn't notice a difference. I went with my de because it was $3,000 cheaper
