Default 2007 Nismo 350z Need Opinions.

First Post, hopefully not the last.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2007 Nismo 350z with 34k miles for $17500.
All power options except seats. The doors are direct bolt kits made by Vertical doors, The hood fenders and window vents can be easily removed, The car motor is all OEM and never modified.

It has a clean carfax report except "Collision impact reported
Damage to right rear Damage to left side." Owner did not know about it. The report he received when purchasing didn't mention it. He is also the third owner.

Is this worth buying? I'm obviously going to get it inspected before purchasing.

I'm not a fan of cars that have had multiple owners or any collision history. It's never the same after a hit. I'm more picky with my cars but not everyone feels the same.

My definition of clean would be different from yours. I've worked on cars where the owners claimed theirs is super "clean" and turned out to be complete chit in my eyes. The question is, is it worth it to you? Does it fit your budget? Would you be happy with it?

I'm confused. My research show there was no 2007 350Z Nismo but that sure looks like one. Maybe it's a 350Z with Nismo parts added.

Research this very carefully!

I'm pretty sure the only years for Nismo 350z were 2007/2008.

I don't think he'll drop the price at all.

Thanks for your input. The reason I'm considering this is because I've been in love with Nismos since they came out and I can actually afford this one.

If he won't work with the price then don't buy it.

Those lambo doors... hood scoop... completely red color-matched interior trim... along with the fact that this tool is filing for bankruptcy and liquidating his assets basically screams that this Nismo was used an abused like a cheap ***** he couldn't even afford... It truly looks like a ricer that was rejected from the Fast & Furious franchise...

A Carfax isn't clean with "Collision impact reported: Damage to right rear Damage to left side."... That's the definition of a red flag.

But hey, it's your money.

Thanks for everyone's input. Now I'm leaning towards searching for a different Z.

Yep! You are correct. I was the one who didn't do my research.

I agree with your decision to look elsewhere.

From my research is hard to find a nismo. And many of the ones I was able to find had accidents. The detail of the accident is key if it's an animal I wouldn't worry too much but rear or front end impact is major.

Even though I agreed with everyone opionions , I still decided to check out the car. I'm glad I did because it looked way better in person. No sign of any previous damage. The visual mods are actually reversible. I know must people dislike the doors, but they open horizontally most of the way. Drives great. He was also including three new spare tires. He also provided me with all his maintenance records including dealer inspection. I couldn't pass it up. Now I only get a few days to enjoy it before its stored for winter.

It may "not have signs of previous damage"- but that doesn't mean anything.

Hopefully you got it for a steal..

Ya I know. I also checked AutoCheck and some other vin check site. Those all came back clean with no accidents or any other problems. I took a gamble and*I hope it pays off. If it doesn't I won't dwell on it since I knew the risks.

Well if it's on carfax it happened lol.

But that's a good deal overall I just hate the things the owner did to the vehicle. You can tell it's very cheap and half assed
