The insurance and car payment come out to 62$ combined... I can easily afford that and put more away every week if needed. I'm obviously going to wait until I find that diamond in the rut, obviously it's going to take some time but it'll pay off. I don't plan on turboing mine like you did to yours, probably just nicer wheels, exhaust and maybe a little more. Other than that I'll baby the hell out it especially knowing I'm paying for it
O no already wants to upgrade and hasn't even gotten it yet... Of course your not going to turbo it, if someone handed you a car and said have it enjoy you wouldn't have the money to get a turbo kit. Nicer wheels are expensive even wheels that are not as nice as factory wheels are expensive. Plastidip... Now thats going to be your modification of choice.
But honestly your insurance is going to be more then $62 unless your putting it on your parents insurance and they are going to lie and say your not going to drive it. In which case when or if something happens you wont be insured anyways.

No **** people of course wheels are going to be expensive!! I'm not expecting to get them over night and for 150$... It's going to take time to get upgrades and stuff like that obviously... Geeze you guys are pointing out obvious stuff here. And actually I called the insurance company and gave them a VIN number to a car identical to what I want, and told them I was the primary driver. When I created this thread I wasn't expecting people to question my payments... Just simply if the car is expensive to maintain or if they're reliable... Damn

Looks like you found out pretty quickly that people on here are pretty useless and petty. I wish you luck in whatever you choose to do.

I appreciate all the feed back but like some of you pointed out, I've pretty much made up my mind. However, I will most likely save for another 6 months because I could save up another 2k in that time. But I don't really see what what the big deal is, my payments and insurance will be low, and I will have the car that purchase checked out by mechanics and have good knowledge of the cars lifetime. With 1000$ in the bank and adding to it every week. I really don't see a problem, thanks for all the help!

Not nice calling my advice useless. Just because its not what you wanted to hear. Its a car forum who the hell asks if they can afford a car on a car forum.
New topic can I afford to buy an rv ive always wanted one.
Not completely made up but pretty close tbh. But no, I got a super low interest rate because my parents consigned and they have amazing credit, and they are also helping with insurance a little. It's a. 5 year loan
There is no way youre paying off a 6k loan in 5 years if the insurance and the car payment COMBINED is only 62 bucks....
