What's "air conditioner tax" and "fuel consumption tax"? I used to live in Toronto and never heard of these -- is it new?

 

I dont think it is too new. Basically they tax you on anything environmentally unfriendly like AC, tires and gas.

The insurance is stupidly high on this car. Rates have gone up a few hundred since I insured my car. What bugs me is that G35C's are being insured for several hundred dollars less around here and they are basically the same car!!!

Well, the G35C owners I've spoken to here in BC seem to have paid about $600 less than what I paid for my Z with comparible coverage. That's just BC though, I can't speak for anywhere else.
