There was a thing in the news about him converting his Hummers to run on Hydrogen. Also the news said that sales of big SUVs and Trucks (some are now over two tons) is still on the rise. Don't know how these people can afford to fill those 40 gallon tanks

It's a big blame game:
Government: "low opec production, not enough refineries"
Oil company: "low opec supply, too many formulations"
Opec: "too many formulations, not enough refineries"

Everyone blames everyone else.
I tend too blame OPEC for cutting production when world demand is increasing. (ie China) I also blame the government for instituting the myriad of formulations that refineries have to produce.

Oh, and by the way, the comment about being willing to pay up to $2.50 so that people wouldn't buy SUV's was pretty disturbing. People need gas, ALL people in this country. Whether you ride a bus, drive a yugo or a suburban, we all rely on oil. Some people have a hard time affording gas, and to say that you wish it would go up to stop SUV's is pretty irresponsible. Why don't we raise the price of milk and sugar so there won't be so many fat people? Because that would hurt most everyone else, particularly those who have a hard time buying it anyway.
