So. Cal 04 enthusiast OTD pricing.
A dealer offered $31,000 OTD but doesn't have the car on the lot. Is that a fair price?
Universal City Nissan ( Power106 commercials) they have the one I want but they said they'll never sell anything even close to invoice pricing.
This is an 04 model.
btw those looking for an 05, MOSSO NISSAN has 20 of them in stock!

Thats a really nice have you have there. If that was in my town, it cost at least 2.4m
Thanks for the heads up. A dealership not too far away is quoting me 30,500 otd and they have the color and trim that I want. So wish me luck and hopefully I'll be able to join your happiness soon!

Anyone have experiences with Universal City Nissan? They have the only two 350Z's in the options I want (Super Black Track w/ Navigation) in all of SoCal... I know I can use the end of 04 year to bargain .. But what is the experience with buying from this dealership?

Don't go to Universal City Nissan. They are the biggest dealer and selling thousands of cars every month.
Which means they have no reason to sell you close to invoice.
I was there week ago to get a Performance, but they were saying that because my credit was very good, they can give me MSRP!! WTHeck??
So, I negociated and got 700 under MSRP as a bottom line price. I walked out.
And found a dealer that can give me a 1700 under MSRP(included destination charge).
Good Luck!

I bought mine from Universal City Nissan for $100 under invoice
last year. It was the worst dealership/salesman/service department
I ever dealt with. I would do without a Z before I would go back.

DragonGcoupe,
Please don't go to Universal Nissan!!! I went there twice, thinking I was going to buy from them. They lied about everything. From price to rates, they lied. By the way, I have 780 on my credit score and was going to lay 10k down. But they still want to screw me over.
Did you talk to Manny? Dude would just say come in, we have this special, blah, blah.. These people are low life. They wouldn't give me the price of the car. They asked for my credit first.
I told them, i don't care for their financing cause I work at the Credit Union and can get low rates (3.50%). Their response was we can give you at that rate. I told them it doesn't matter. I just want to know the price of that car. They will push you to the limit man! So don't waste your time there.
Go to Performance Nissan. Best sales/services.
DaddyPhatSaks,
Don't compare prices in SC with L.A. Trust me, the price will be way different.

Without even visiting them, I know that they will be a complete pain in the *ss to deal with. I don't want to go there in the first place, it's just they seem to have the last two Z's in the options I want (rare: Super black track w/ nav). I don't want to bother with any of that finance bullsh*t either. I just want to see the car, make sure it's in good condition, and write a check.
I'm actually talking to Jeff about working something out with Performance Nissan, so I hope something good can come of that. Even calling up Performance Nissan to inquire about a super black track without nav that they had.. They were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to deal with them, and I see myself doing much business with them even after I get my car.

I just got mine from Universal City Nissan, but used VPP to buy my Z enthusiast. They were one of the only dealers in LA that would offer this price structure. If I did not have a VPP discount I would go somewhere else and purchase. The people at Thousand Oaks were very nice. Good luck

Through the Vehicle Purchase Program (VPP), Business Associates pay a pre-negotiated price for a Nissan or Infiniti vehicle: dealer invoice less any applicable incentives, plus delivery fee, plus a destination and handling charge and, if applicable, an advertising assessment fee.
For Business Associates, the VPP price is calculated as follows:
Dealer invoice
Minus VPP discount (Nissan 2.87% : Infiniti 1.65%)
Plus dealer added options, Security Plus, etc.
Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
Plus destination and handling charge
Plus marketing assessment as applicable
Minus applicable incentives
Equals paticipant's purchase price
Note this is extended to Nissan employees and vendors who do work with Nissan. If you work for a large corporation and they have done work for Nissan you should check to see if this deal is extended to you. The process is fairly easy, you just need to find a dealer that will accept it for a new Z. Since Universal City sells tons of cars they are willing to sell the car below invoice. FYI, most dealers choose not to participate in this program especially for the Z.
