I made a post on another thread and I'll say it again. There is 2% financing on '05's. Do your homework! I did! lol

You guys were right. There is no 2% APR on the 2005's. The dealership lied to me! When I went to pick up the car tonight they started playing games on the financing. They started from 6.9% on the financing all the way down to 3.99%. I didn't expect someone as big as Metro would do something like that. I told them, and this is the truth, I don't want the car anymore and they are saying they won't refund my down payment. Fortunatelly I paid with my credit card, and my credit card company assured me I can dispute that charge if it comes to that. Now it's time to look for either a different dealership or a completely different car to buy.

Backstabber,

Look for a 2004 on the internet... You can get one for %2.0 if you can find one you like with a good deal as well.

btw. If you're looking for a Touring MT there is no difference between a 2004.5 and a 2005.

Good luck.

One thing reallys concerns me is that they have all my information, there is no way to stop them from opening credit card accounts in my name and tarnish my credit rating.

One thing I forgot to mention is they dropped the price to 165 over invoice but that's with 3.99% APR. So with the new APR, I will end up paing about $3038.8 in interest. I went from about 1500 in interest to slighly more than double. I am not ready to throw away my hard-earned money like that.

Cj2pilot, how is the 05 Z's doing in terms of sales figures? Do you think Nissan will have the special APR on the 05's pretty soon?

I'm not sure yet on the rate for the 05's, because the current rate sheet good until the end of the year doesn't even list the 05 Z yet. I would think NMAC will give a good rate maybe the 2% but not until next year. I can't say anything about sales yet, we haven't got a 05 on the ground. We have two orders for the 35th annv 05 but thats about it.

I am ordering a Z here really soon and the dealer quoted me at $99 over invoice. And I made sure to have them write it down on their letterhead, sign it, and give me a copy. They said though, that I am looking at around a 4.5 - 4.75% APR because the APRs balanced out around that for high credit(I have a 729). Do you think those APRs will drop by April?

foochdawg, is the APR for 5 year financing? Yeah I should've have the dealer put it down in writing.

I think I will go with CapitalOne's 3.95% for 36 months, if I still want to get the car that is.

Sorry guys...I made an error. It's the 04's 2% financing not the '05's as I posted. I read my e-mail wrong! Please accept my apology for the "ruckus" that I might have caused. Thanks.
Anyone interested in buying a '05Z for a couple hundred BELOW INVOICE e-mail trente@users.ccleads.com Trent's a great guy to deal with too!

All right guys. I am going to try, once again, to pick up the car tonight. Now it's $165 over invoice for a 2005 AT Touring with 60months 3.99% financing. Is this a good deal? Is the dealer making a killing on this?

Thumbs up

That's a good deal - close it. You can always refinance the loan later if you find a better rate.

I would wait until it is 100% sure that the tire feathering is fixed on the 2005's if I were you.
