Default Is invoice + $500 good deal for 05 Touring?

Just got back from a dealer in south east PA. They quoted me 05 auto Touring w/ Side Airbags, Aluminum kickplates, floor mat, trunk mat, splash guards, cargo convenience package for $500.00 over invoice and 2% financing. Is this a decent deal?

man i am sorry. i love my Z and all and think it is worth every penny, specially for the level of excitement it provides (every bit as good as higher priced beemers and porches).

but i would not pay anything above sticker. maybe its just my region of the market. but here in ohio when i was looking at the new models i had a deal for a brand new 03 touring, yeah thats right an 03 when they were still new, for less than sticker. and thats at a dealer who locally is know to be a *****.

if i were you i would go to another dealer even if you have to drive a few minutes, use the price you got there to try and bargain down. and if it doesnt work then maybe it is the area of the market you are in.

bottom line: dont let them make you feel priveleged (sp) that you are looking at a Z. you need to make them feel priveleged that they can get your business.

and oh yeah, also every penny and dollar saved now is more you can put into mods and rims later!!!!!!!

good luck.

whoops, i may have misunderstood a little. "over invoice".

if i know my lingo, which i dont. thats well under sticker, or rather MSRP.

500 above invoice does look like a good deal. go for it then !!!!

but it still wouldnt hurt to shop it around.

good luck!!

Yeah I guess that's a pretty good deal. But I will look around more, just to make sure. One problem I have with the Z I test drove is that when I test drove it, I didn't think I was going to buy it from that dealership, so I was quite rough with it. I was rough on the gas, the brake, I even hit a pot hole while going 40 mph. Is that going to do a lot of damage to the car??

Excellent deal. Especially at this time of year. Six month's from now, probably $99.00 over INVOICE.

Considering the number of 04's still on dealer lots- I'd think you could get a deep discount off of invoice, especially in the northeast with winter coming. Depends on how hard you're willing to bargain.
I'd start at 1000.00 below and go from there.

I paid invoice for a Touring last week. You can do better. You should be able to get it for $100 over invoice at least.

are you guys talking MSRP or dealer invoice? $500 over invoice is unheard of in Dallas/Fort Worth area. Anything off the MSRP is condsidered a good deal. I just bought a 2005 touring with all the above mentioned items and also satellite radio and paid the full sticker.

Invoice price, not MSRP. I've since emailed a few dealers in my area and they all said that sounds too good to be true. I am starting to wonder if there's something majorly wrong with that car.

I like the sound of an 05 at 2%, the 500 over invoice makes it even better.
