i have used zymol for about three years now. my last car was black, zymol did a great job of leaving it with the glossy/wet look i love. it is a great product IMO, however, i do want to try zaino because i have heard so much about it.

i liked zymol on my previous car. i'll prob apply a coat of zymol before i put my car in the garage for the winter cause i dont wanna go thru the hassle of mixing up the zaino with the zfx and then cleanin out the bottles after i'm done.

ZYMOL, ZYMOL, ZYMOL!!!!! (Concours) I know is expensive but it worth it!!!!!! Two hands of zymöl HD-Cleans zymol (Concours) and I guaranty that you will agree that this is better products.

I was a fan of Zaino (used it in my 1998 M3) until I try this product. It will be easy to apply (need to melt a small amount in your hand and apply using you bare hands) (no pads need I. save, save, save on applying pads). To remove it is like removing butter (smoooooooooth)

The initial investment of 125.00 is not the most economical, but on the long run you will save time, the amount you need to use and pads. This is a picture of my car with only one layer of HD-Cleans and one layer of Concours (3 month later). This weekend I will do 2 and 2 I will send photos of the results.

Are you guys planning on washing the car with acetone? If not, there is NO need for 50 layers of Zaino!!

I like Zaino and use it for winter protection because of the durability but IMHO it's all gloss and no depth or color. In warmer weather, after proper clay/polish (no need for dawn) I much prefer NXT as the last product to touch the car when detailing. It darkens, fills/hides and lets the color blast! Zaino does none of that...

Which Zaino wax are you using, Z-5 or Z-2? Z-5 is the scratch filler wax, but Z-2 is the "show car wax," and is designed to work w/FX accelerator, which DOES make a big difference. I have used both on my super black, as well as NXT, and NXT shines about the same as Z-2 w/FX added, but NXT doesn't last nearly as long as Zaino. Where NXT wins, hands down, IMO, is ease of application. W/NXT, you can do the whole car, on & off, in 15-20 min.

There are two basic kinds of Zymol. The "real" Zymol and the kind you buy at Autozone or Wal-Mart. I have been using Zymol for years and love it.

Here is link to their website:

I also use Zymol HD Cleanse to get off the oxidation once a year in the spring, then apply the Real Zymol (comes in a tub not the fake Walmart bottle brand) directly by hand which has some of the highest carnauba concentration of all waxes. It melts in my palm as I apply it onto the paint. It also lasts over 6 months so I do not have to keep applying 50+ coats of it, just because I'm lazy. I have never tried Zaino, never will cuz again, I'm too lazy, but I think I may give Eagle 1 Nanowax a try...

They should have also tested "Autoglym".

The Zymol bottles at Walmart aren't "fake" but they are not the real Zymol. I believe Turtle Wax actually makes the Zymol sold in the retail stores. Real Zymol is only paste wax and it comes in several different price ranges starting at about $40.00 and then the prices can get stratospheric.

I've used the "fake" Zymol on several occasions...been quite happy with the results thus far.

I used Zymiol for quite some time it is a very seductive process, esp. waxing the car with your hands! however I found that it would last for 2-3 days and then just look like a clean car - now for all the hours put in (not to mention expense) I want a little bit more than a clean car!!!
at the moment using pinnicle - pleased with it - gives a deep liquid gloss look on silver - but as with all these things now want an even deeper looking gloss any ideas out there?

which pinnacle product are you using on your silver car? I used to use pinnacle souveran on my black car and was very pleased with it but after trying it on a red metallic i wasn't very happy with the look. I am currently using s100 (p21s) and like the look better. It leaves a glossier shine. I just ordered pinnacle signature wax which is made specifically for metallic paint. You may want to try that also.
