Default 3M Paint Protection and Zaino

Which should I do first? Zaino the car and then apply the 3M, or vice versa?

I assume you are talking about the 3M clear plastic film that protects the paint???

If so, you will need to prep the surface where you will be applying the film with rubbing alcohol. The film probably will not stick to Zaino.

Don't polish before installing the clear bra. Wash the area where it will be applied with Dawn to remove polish, and then clay if needed. Install bra, wait 72 hours for bra to cure, then wash and polish with Zaino. Use a soft toothbrush along the edge of the bra to remove buildup. Good luck.

All wax has to be stripped prior to installation to insure proper adhesion. We usually wash the surface to be installed, clay bar, then use 3M adhesive remover, or better yet Dupont FirstKleen(yes, its spelled that way) after installation Zaino works fine, and is in fact rcommended since it dries clear and leaves no white residue on the edges. If you have any other questions about 3M paint protection film write me at invisiguard@sbcglobal.net

Thats exactly what this is made for, it protects as well as a tradtional vinyl bra without having the ugly bra on your car

This is the first I've ever heard of something like this. Does anyone have pictures of what this looks like *off* and *on* the car?

Thanks for the info. Now a couple of questions:

1. What does an application like that cost installed?

2. Who in Texas can do this type of install?

The full install usually goes for around $650-850, if a drive to San Antonio isnt too much, the best place in the country to get an install is at Xpel. look them up at xpel.com tell Mike that Jeremy from Invisiguard sent you!

I'm interested in having the 3M clear bra installed in the Southern California area (L.A./o.c. county). Can anyone recommend a really good installation shop? Also, do I need to purchase the 3M kit prior to the installation? Thank you.
