I spoke to Sal Zaino personally today and based on our conversation and the instrumentation used I retract what I said. The items are not silicone.
Hopefully through our conversation Sal can be a benefit us in fighting criminal matters, can be called when needed and that there are no hard feelings. Sal is a very nice gentleman, and if I know they had a phone number to call I would have done so. I learned a lot about his product today and thanks. After talking quite extensively with him let it be known that the product is quite sophisticated and state-of-the-art.
Thanks again Sal and Dave for giving me the chance to talk to him.
I also asked that this thread be stopped or deleted so that people don't read into this the wrong way.

I washed my car just recently and used the towel from DF and i couldn't dry my car up like it would with a chamois. It would actually cause streaks instead of dryin up my car. Am I doing something wrong because I was disappointed w/ the DF towel being that it was recommended by many here on this thread? I also bought the wash mitt and it kinda sucked too because it was too thin compared to my sheepskin mitt.

The DF towel is not very good for drying in my opinion, especially if you don't wet it and wring it out first. The best thing for drying a car is the waffle-weave microfiber. You don't need to wet it and virtually never have to wring it out, that's how good they are.
I only used the DF towels for polishing and buffing it. It's great to removing Z-2, Z-5 and Z-6.

Definately order some towels from: www.dftowel.com and www.pakshak.com Those 100% department store towels will cause swirls. Even Zaino recommends the use of the towels from DF. DF even has some good wash mitts. Get two and put one on each hand.

The Zaino is good; however, the quality of the Z's original paint job is not.

Quick question. I notice a lot of you guys keep track of your Zaino counts. What exactly entails a count? Does each application of Z-2 & Z-5 count? Or do you only count Z-2 applications?
Use this for example:
Z-6 & Wipe
Z-5 & Buff
Z-6 & Wipe
Z-2 & Buff
Z-6 & Wipe
Z-2 & Buff
Z-6 & Wipe
Finish
How many counts is that?
