Yup, that's the first thing I do is open the hatch and blow all the water out from the top down. It's great for getting the water that gets trapped under the rubber seals. Do the doors too, works great to get all the stuff hidden in the hinge area and the stuff that puddles on the door sills. Finally, do under the hood.

I should try my shop vac. It has an air outlet (blowing side) and there is an air filter element on the to prevent dust and dirt.

How fast does the air come out? My leaf-blower is 120 MPH which works great but anything less than 100 MPH probably wouldn't work too well. Also...even though it has that filter make sure the inside is VERY clean. Shop vacs always have a way of spitting dust out thru their filters.

In fact...just go buy an electric leaf-blower from Home Depot. They're only like 20-30 bux.

i just picked mine up today toro 140mph for 29 bucks, but this crazy california rain wont allow me enough time to actually wash the car. i cant wait to use the thing on my rims, which are the worst(sf winning) when it comes to drying.

Just tried the Shop-Vac (blower side), didn't work very well. Guess it just can't blow out air fast enough to dry the car. Electric leaf blower it is!

ive been using a leaf blower since about 1997. i started only drying my wheels on my 300zxtt since it was hard to get in the nooks & lug holes of my zigen 5zrs, as well as blowing out the mirrors & crevaces. i still used a towel to dry the body of the car. hehe, my neighbors & passer-bys thought i was nuts, at some point they eventually came over to ask what i was doing. i actually turned another car nut neighbor onto the idea! i now also use it for the complete dry on my SB z.........i see somone else mentioned the filter on the intake of the blower. i too do this as well. i use a finer filter than a regular airconditioner filter that i get from my work. just feel better knowing im not blowing large airborn particles at my cars finish at 120+mph........

Since I started using Zaino(just a few weeks ago) the water flies off even easier. Before when I dried it I had to go really slow and get the blower close to the car. Now with a few coats of Zaino on the water seems to fly right off. It's AWESOME!!

i really need to try zaino out. i KNOW its good by how many replies ive seen here about it. i still currently use the NXT wax. i cant help it i really like it. it works great, hides the swirls in my SB paint & most important it is extremlely easy to apply & remove compared to other products ive used.......the 1st 2 weeks after using the NXT the water also flies off the car with ease........i do want to try zaino though..........

I guess it is worth a shot, but I would just stick with what you like. I'm a big Blue Coral fan ( Product X ) and I bought a whole zaino kit to try. The only thing I ended up using out of it is the soap, Z6, and clay. The Z2/Z5 just did not cut it for me. Of course, I guess I am one of very few on the forum.

Just search Product X, and or blue coral, and check out some pics I posted in the detail section. . Check the thread " Taking buffer to black paint" or something along those lines..

Whatever works for you. Zaino does take some time to apply and to get the desired effect but when you do, hot damn that car is shiny!! LOL

If you wanna try it just get the ZFX(or Z1), Z2, Z5, and the Z6. That's all you really need. The soap is good too because it's made to go with Zaino products. Give it a try and if you don't like it send your stuff to me! LOL

jsn350z, i remember running across numerous posts last year where you commented on your success with the blue coral products. i also saw pics of your car as well as another members black z you detailed using the blue coral. shortly after seeing those threads i tried locating some of this product but to no avail. the product x sounds like a real dream product for a black z & i bet it does hide swirls much better than the NXT i use. im still wanting to give it a try, can you point me in the right direction to order some?

thanx,
-justin

The Wife saw me doing this, she thought I lost it, but when she saw how well it worked, she said something about renaming it from a leaf blower to power dry blower and put on the market.
I`am telling you it works great!! yeah the neiborghs thought I was being weird....
O yeah mine is electric and it has a feature where you can convert from a blower to a vaccumm.

thankyou jasn350z! i appreciate the link to the blue coral products. i see they dont have the revive it wax but they have that blue coral sealtec wich is a protective sealant. looks as though this may be a nice option to use over the product x! any input on this? it seems odd to me to not use a wax at all as i have been using wax since i was 16 yrs old(31 now).....seems though that i could use the product x fllowed with the sealant for protectant w/o using any wax products......odd(to me).....

i remember that thread you linked, i was there reading it as you guys were posting there. that was the thread that made me research the product, but i couldnt find anything then........

thanx again,
-justin

I never used any wax because I applied the Prod.X so often that it was enough to protect my paint according to the owner of Thorpe Auto Detail ( #1 in cali )

I have no used the sealtec, but I would deffinitly give that a shot if you don't want to apply Prod. X so often.

Only way to get Revive it is to find a detail or auto body shop who uses Bluee Coral stuff, and ask them to pick you up a bottle and pay them back, or give them cash up front. I get mine from Thorpe in Campbell CA.
