Default Getting like an oily film/holagram look after waxing

I cleaned my car and applied product x (thanks jsn350z) and i wanted to put alittle protection over it. So in the past i have used syntheics but the leave a silvery film on a black car. So i switch to pure carnuba (p21s) and applyed it with the PC. Then wipped off with a microfiber.

It leaves a streaky mess that looks like a holagram in the sunlight. Anybody have suggestions maybe its my technique am i applying too much please help me my car looks awesome till i wax is hahaha kind of ironic!!!

HELP!
Thanks guys

I've never had a problem. Apply the wax perpendicular to the flow of wind across the surface (i.e. across the hood/roof/hatch and vertically on the side panels). Don't let the P21S fully dry.

When removing, remove with linear strokes and rotate towels often to ensure that the surface of the microfiber doesn't become saturated with the wax.

Overall, make sure it's not too humid out and never do this in the sun (although sunlight won't leave streaking).

Oh and don't use a PC to apply the wax. There is no benefit.

If that happens it is due to the fact that it is to cool outside. If you are using a good wax and the temp outside is warm enough that will not happen.

P21S is widely reknowned as the best brazilian carnuaba wax.

enhanced - i didn't notice you were in NJ. I'm in CA taking care of some stuff but when I get back, I'd be happy to take a look at your car and help you out if you're still having trouble.

i would recommend switching over to zaino cleaning system it works as good, if not better than some of the higher line more expenses carnauba waxes on the market-- no experience with residue for me with their stuff.

Zaino is not a good comparison to P21S. Zaino is a very labor intensive system, although it will yield much more long-lasting results. P21S wipes on a buffs off with minimal exertion. In that regard it is most similar to Menzerna FMJ.

Don't mix carnuaba wax with water. It will streak.

enhanced- i'm back from CA so if you want to get together when it warms up a bit shoot me a PM and I'll help you out with the P21S.

Zaino is laborsome only the 1st time if you do the claybar + 2 or 3 coats of Z5/Z2. After that it's extremely easy to apply and remove and the results are awesome.

Zaino does yield excellent results, but it is certainly labor intensive. Personally I think their QD is worth its weight in gold and I use bottle after bottle of it, but I'm not sold on the Z2 or Z5 yet (I have used it and still do).

I use Menzerna FMJ on my Z because its super black and I get exceptional results in conjunction with Menzerna polishes. And no matter what any of you ever say, FMJ is the EASIEST product to apply and remove. It also gives the most surface smoothness of any product I have ever used. I did find that surface clarity was better with Zaino though.

However, comparing either of these to P21S isn't quite fair. It's definitely a good carnuaba, but you can't layer it and it doesn't last as long or protect as well. I use P21S as a quick fix when I can't devote the proper amount of detailing time to a friend/family member's car.
