Zaino: Z2 after Z5 on a dark car?
I have just switched to Zaino and was wondering about using Z2 and/or Z5 as my polish. I noticed some users are alternating between Z2 and Z5 and was wanted some input. I am planning on putting on two coats of Z5 then a coat of Z2. Or would I be better off with a different combination?

your doing it the right way. The Z5 will hide the small scratches and the Z2 will polish the car to a bright shine. Make sure you use the detail spray between each coat.
Also make sure you use the activator on at least the first coat of Z5.
Dr. Bonz (the Zanio master) uses the activator every other application.
No need to go through the whole (2) Z5 and (1) Z2 process everytime you wash your car, but if you Z5 once you should back it up with a coat of 2 to bring the shine out.

I usually go at least one layer of Z-5 but no matter how many I am doing at that particular time, I always finish off with a top layer of Z-2.
I usually do two or three total layers at eash session. The first one or two I do WITH the ZFX accelerator since you can take the layer off in under an hour if you want. I don't recommend leaving it on really long or doing it with the ZFX in the sun since it makes it a little harder to remove and can leave slight streaks on a dark car. They are not TOO hard to remove with a good shot with the Z-6 but it takes more time and effort.
The last layer I usually put on WITHOUT the ZFX and let it cure on the paint overnight and take it off the next morning.
Hope that helps.

Z2 overnight. Like the good doctor said, it wouldn't be wise to leave a layer with ZFX on the car very long at all. It is meant to accelerate the curing process so you can start your second coat quickly. In the old days (2002-2003), I would say that you got better results from letting your Zaino layers cure for as long as up to 24 hours.

ZFX only if your removing it same day (I typically coat the entire car, take a 30 minute break, then return to polish off the Zaino)
If you leave a coat overnight (as the good Dr does), do not use the ZFX, just straight Z2.
Welcome ot the wonderful world of Zaino!

In case anyone was wondering about how my Zaino adventure turned out, here're pics of my Maxima after three coats of Z5 and a coat of Z2. Each coat was followed by a spritz of Z6. The wheels will be coming off in a month or so and I'll be putting my SSRs back on.

Doc,
I'm sure you've been asked this a hundred times, but I'm too lazy to dig through the hundred posts to find the answer. When you remove your coats do you do so seperately from the application of the Z-6 or do you combine it in one step?
Also, do you find with enough coats of Z-5, that you can actually get to a point where the product fills in any swirl marks? Or do you just concentrate of shining the bejeazous out of it so no one can ever notice! LOL
