I have a clear bra on front but over the last year have picked up a few chips/scratches on the hood from all those rock/dirt debris coming out of those large trucks hauling gravel all over southern california. If you live here, you know what i mean.

Anyways, I know that such blemishes are a fact of life and unavoidable. Even worse when you're travelling at high rate of speed.

I have 2 types of chips: 1 that just scratches the clear coat and the other into the paint.

Has anyone taken their car after some time into a body shop or detailer for some touch up? I've read posts on how you can buff out the clearcoat scratches but the chips require a little more care.
