Removal of Dress Shoe Marks
This stuff is impossible to get off the sideskirts! I even had a difficult time with CLAY! I used some products GOO-GONE a Professional Acetone for wax removal...
Goo gone removes paint? I guess my car should be bare metal by now with all the vinyls going on and off of it.
An abrasive, no matter how mild, SHOULD NEVER be used on your cars paint unless its the final resort.
I'd try bug and tar remover as well... and be more mindfull when entering and exiting your Z.

I think if you actually had any experience with the marks he is talking about you would know that a chemical is not going to remove the scuff from a rubber heel. Even if it did there would still be an abrasion left that a mild polish is needed. This is a finishing polish not a rubbing compound.
But then again....just go ahead and keep rubbing with the Goo Gone and cry later after you start taking off paint...because then you know your clear really is gone!
I have INGs side skirts, and my girl has left those rubbery scuff marks on that side many times. I've used both Bug and tar remover (worked well) and good gone (also worked).
I've never heard or seen goo gone remove clear in my 10+ years of maintaining show cars. I'm sure ANY chemical, mixture would remove paint if left on the surface for an extended period of time, However in this case, where your trying to remove an isolated mark, I'm sure that this member has the common sense not to leave the product on the paint overnight (read: extended period of time) Use goo gone or bug and tar remover, then wash and rinse the area where it was applied.
In my exp. any abrasive, even a polish should be avoided unless necessary. What a polish is doing, even a very mild one, is indeed removing a minor amount of clear coat. That’s how the 'mark' disappears. your evening the clear around the area of the scuff to make it less noticeable.
But hey.. its his/her car.. were only here to try and offer sound advice.

Turtle Wax Bug & Tar worked very well!
I left it on the stains for 60 seconds and wiped with very little force. I regularily use Goo Gone in my engine bay to remove 'Track Muck' and have seen no change in paint (ie discoloration/transfer to applicator/fogging) it just wasn't up to this task.

Fresh shoe scuffs come out of my sideskirts with a little quick detailer easily - I use a solution of water in a spray bottle and about 2 oz of Klasse AIO as a quick detailer.

I guess as long as you don't rub hard or leave it on very long you'll be OK...I personally don't even use it anymore.
Of course each mark would have to be treated accordingly.....there are some marks that just won't come out with a tar/bug remover product
