Since there is no way to keep the brake dust off you'll just have to wash them regularly which should be made easier with whatever wheel protectant you use.
I just use Zaino on mine and that works out well.
Also try out Mother's Powerball......it will save you some time.

But, this week I recieved my Wheel Wax, and used it today for the first time, and the wheels look SPECTACULAR!!!! They are so shiny and look as good as new. I also bought the Wheel Wax Metal Polish, but luckily, I read the package before I used it. It doesn't say so on the website, but the package on the Metal Polish says "not suitable for use on anodized, clear coated, or plated surfaces." From what I've heard, the spokes on the Volks are anodized, and I know the polished lips are clearcoated. I'm going to call the Wheel Wax company ASAP and find out if the Wheel Wax will be safe for the spokes also. Anyway, just clean the wheels up and then use the Wheel Wax and they will look phenomenal! And do this often. Keep the wheels clean, don't allow for buildup over a long time, and you should have no problems.

When I used the Mother's Mag polish on my exhaust tips, I got the rag to turn black. However, I haven't tried it on the lips of my wheels since they're clearcoated.

Do not, I repeat do NOT use any products on your clear coated rims, Volks, iForged, Racing Hart......I found out the hard way, I used Meguiars Hot wheel cleaner, and it ate my clear coat so bad on one of the wheels a few small chips came off the center cap. Not to mention my wheels were not smooth, and hazed....I went to Kragen, looked at every wheel polish they had, including that Blue stuff, all of that stuff is NOT meant for the machined clear coated wheels....NONE OF IT. Read CAREFULLY, it is not for clearcoated wheels.
Wheels like the above mentioned need to be treated like a car, I for now on am just using soap and water, I always use the DIY Coin Wash places to clean my car, and I use the high pressure soap to blast my wheels, including the inside (for the guy that asked) I noticed the inside getting really dirty, go to one of these coin wash places and blast the inside clean. Anyways, after my wheels were hazed and not smooth, I figured out it was the product I was using from Meguiars, so I washed them really good with high pressure soap, and then a high pressure water blast that got them dust free inside and out, after that I dried them completley and applied some Meguiars Gold Class car wax to the lip and spokes...let them dry, wiped clean, then did another coat on all of the rims, wiped clean, and they were brand new. The Clearcoat wasnt hazy AT ALL, and the rims were silky smooth once again. So dont use any products, I dont even trust the wheel wax stuff for the clear coat, I saw it online but wasnt convinced, I will stick to car wax.

So for the volk lips it is best to just use the same zaino wax that you use on your car? I was really looking forward to try out that wheelwax.com site since I've read so much about it. Surely, if so many people are using wheelwax.com it should be a good product. Is there anyone out there that has had a BAD experience with wheelwax.com?
Shouldn't you clean the wheels first so that you don't get dirt and water all over your car again?

I clean the wheels last, with a new bucket of soap and a fresh lambs wool mitt. Use the pressure from the spray nozzel to remove as much surface debris as possible, then sopa up the mitt and gently clean the rim. If you have a leaf blower or air compressor use that to dry the wheels, follow up with a MF or DF towel. Wenol Blue or NXT All Metal Polish, among others, will remove surface oxidation without harming the finish (assuming no clearcoat on the rim).
I never use a brush. If you don't have a good lambs wool mitt, a clean, 100% cotton towel will work fine. Whatever you use, keep a bucket of fresh, clean water nearby and rinse out the mitt or towel as needed to remove grit and dirt that could damage the wheel.

I use a soft cotton cloth and a wheel brush to wash my wheels. After washing them, I pour out that soapy water and rinse the bucket before preparing the soapy water for washing the car. Nothing that touches my wheels ever touches my paint so I don't have to worry about brake dust and road grime scratching it.
what happens is that if you have a deep lip... well most of the whees people buy do so what happens is that when you wash them, it builds up a huge puddle of water inside the rim. It's hard to see and not noticable at all so once you finisn and start driving, the water gets all over your wheels again. So you gotta soak up tha water inside and you shouldn't really have any waterspots after that. It's a pain in the *** but it helps a lot.

Just so everyone knows, some of the WheelWax products ARE SAFE for use with clearcoated and anodized wheels. The WheelWax metal polish is NOT one of these products. When I bought it, it didn't say so on the website (not sure if it does now), but luckily I read the instructions and never put it on my rims. However, the auto shampoo and the WheelWax itself is safe for clearcoated, polished, and anodized rims. I have used both products on my rims, and they come out looking SPECTACULAR! I used the WheelWax on both the spokes and the polished/clearcoated lip.
Also, if you have any questions about their products, don't hesitate to ask them. They are a first-rate company when it comes to customer service. I had ordered the metal polish and the WheelWax, and when I found out the metal polish was not safe for clearcoated and anodized rims, I sent them an email on a Sunday evening, stating that I would've spent the money on another product, like the auto shampoo or the tire dressing. When I woke up Monday, I had an email from them apologizing for the confusion and saying that I could keep the metal polish (instead of returning it for a refund, which wasn't worth it) for use on other household items. The also said they would send me the Auto Shampoo and the tire dressing free of charge, and shipped it out that same day. When I returned home to Boise from San Jose on Friday, my package was waiting for me. I will be doing all of my wheel care business with them in the future. Their products are fabulous, and their customer service is top notch!

I (like every Z/G owner) experienced the infamous front brake dust problem. I remedied it by changed to a low dust pad (in my case Hawk HPS) and also putting wheel wax on my entire wheels. Now it takes weeks for my rims to get much dust/dirt on them, even if it rains. I'd say that will definately solve any brake dust problem. as for cleaning them I NEVER use any spray on wheel cleaners/solvents/polishes. like most guys here will tell you, you should treat your rims like you would the hood of your car if not better. you probably paid big bucks for them and they likely have a clear coat so treat them as such (if your using a brush on them and wondering why they scratch then you may have bigger problems). I always wash my wheels last with a light car wash soap, water and a good quality mitt, then I dry with my leaf blower, then I wipe down with a microfiber towel, then I use wheel wax maybe once a month.
like some of the guys here...i just use a fresh bucket of meguiars nxt soap/water and wipe my volks down...i go gently over them twice and rinse them off...and to dry them, i use my meguiars microfiber cloths...
