Default Good wheel cleaner.

Just read the threads on wheel cleaners. I just cleaned my stock wheels and had a hard time getting all the brake pad dust off the front wheels. It looks like a carbon base dust. Had to use GO-JO on my hands to clean them! There must be a new solvent product out there besides grenades to break down the dust coating. Appreciate any info good people!!

Meguiars Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner ( Pink bottle ). Good stuff IMO, there were several others but this was the first I bought and Meguiars NXT Insane Tire Shine for the tires give my wheels/rims excellent results.

I am TOTALLY converted to the DuPont wheel cleaner. It does not etch the wheels (that tell-tale white residue look) even if you don't dry and is an excellent bug remover on all the paint work. Target and Advanced Auto carry it around here.

Ive been using Meguiars hot rims for years now and has worked well. If brake dust is seriously caked and dried onto your wheels tho, you may have to bust out a toothbrush or some simple green and do some scrubbing.

That Meguiars Hot Rims stuff is amazing. Spray it on, brush over it real quick and hose off.. Unreal how well it works!

Eimann-Fabrik high intensity cleaner is great stuff for wheels. I dilute it with 75% distilled water and its PH will not erode a clearcoated wheel or etch the surface.
