Default Used orbital for 1st time

I finally got the nerve to purchase a Porter Cable random orbital. I was nervous but it was easier than I thought. I have an '03 with a lot of swirls and scratches. Washed the car with dish washing soap and dried with microfiber towel. Used Mothers clay bar over entire car. Took a while but turned out well. Then used the PC along with 3M swirl remover for dark cars. Nice product. After than I used Meguires NXT liquid wax which I applied and removed by hand. I really liked the NXT. Easy on and easy off. It smells nice to. Car turned out really nice. My hands are numb and my back feels like someone jammed an ice pick in it from all the bending over but I'm very pleased with the results. It was a long process but with all the informative posts and links it made it a lot easier. Picked up the PC for under $100 at Lowes.

+1.

Just used it for the first time on my Z as well. I used Menzerna though (per JamRWS6 's suggestion). Using the PC (very slowly...) it took me about 1 hour to apply the polish to the entire car, and about 1 hour to take off by hand. I think it was well worth it though.

In fact, for like the first time ever, my sister came inside the house and actually took the time to say "damn, your car looks sparkley!" I'm always **** about my work, but this is the first time that SHE actually complimented my car.

How long did it take you to do? Post pix of your work--I'll be doing the same as soon as I get a couple of layers of Zaino put on again.
