I ran into a product on Eastwood's website called ArmorCoat. Here is the description.
Armor Auto Sprayable Clear Protector
Prevent expensive chip repairs. Just use your spray gun to apply this durable 2-part urethane protective coating to the most chip prone areas on your car. Perfect for front bumpers covers, leading edge of the hood, mirrors, and lower rocker areas. One kit includes 2-pint cans to mix together. Enough to cover up to 40 square feet with a resilient chip resistant layer. Easily repaired if necessary.
What do you guys think?

It only cost $140. I'm going to give it a try when I buy my air tools because it requires a air spray gun for application. I've heard some people mixing a flexing agent with their paint and lay a top layer of ArmorCoat. This solution sure beats a film and have a clear coat shine, totally invisible to the naked eye.

instead of spending money on this product, i just change my habit of driving (and it work in my case). Don't tailgate, don't drive behind SUV, don't drive behind big truck. Keep distance from them.
