Painting stock 18"s to black...
+1
I did this on my motorcycle. However i did the opposite. They were gloss black and I sanded them down. It took forever, primered them, and applied some flat color or something. Then shot them with White gloss paint. It was a pretty good job but the color dulled really fast on them. Then i saw some my friend had powder coated and for the extra money its a no brainer. It will be more expensive but in the long run it would look way better.
If I might add, why not buy some black aftermarkets in either the same size or larger.
I'm assuming its maybe what 2-300 for powder coating. If cost is the issue then buying aftermarket Kazera's in black or Axis or Racing Hart's in the same size as stock rims might be the way to go. That way you have both sets of rims. Plus they aren't that expensive, yes they are a lil more expensive then powder coating but at least they are made that way and you have a new set.
If not look in the Sport Compact car magazines or online and you can find a set of rims n tirs in those brands for relatively cheap prices. Good luck.

Check out www.eastcoastpowdercoat.com They are located in northern maryland and do a great job. They do mostly bikes but will do rims.
Your rims look GREAT on silver, Im thinking of gunmetal flake for a redline.
