Default brake dust on volks gtcs

I have been trying to clean the brake dust off of my volks but there is still some that isn't coming off. I have tried tire cleaner and rags. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Claybar? Althought I have no prior experience doing it on wheels.

Its typically used for paint. The clay shears off the contaminants left on the surface of your car. If you notice after you wash your car, you feel little particles still stuck on the paint, claybar gets rid of these and makes your finish perfect again. Its a miracle worker. I suggest Mothers based upon experience and reviews.

Simple Green and some scrubbing with a wheel brush worked for me. I had some nasty dried on brake dust. It's work, but it'll come off. Get yourself a good brush from an auto store and use the heavy cleaning mixing ratio for mixing the Simple Green with water.

Zymol wheel cleaner is hands down, the best I have tried. I only needed a soft horsehair brush to wipe away the caked on brake dust after letting the spray sit for a minute.

It isn't cheap, but if you think your wheels are worth it, buy it.

BTW, it is also made from plant extracts and is environmentally friendly.

Default You spent $2,000 plus on some buetifull wheels...

treat them with care. Whatever you would NOT put on the paint, don't use on the wheels. That said, try:

a 50/50 mix of Mr. Clean and water in a spary bottle. Rinse with a hose, then spray with the solution. Then let it sit. Let time work its majic. Clean with soap and water.

Gunk Bug & Tar works well, and is mild.

Wax the wheels as usual to protect then. One key is to clean the wheels BEFORE they get dirty.
