What do you all use to wash your car if you have put zaino on it. I don't want to buy the car wash they sell if i do not have to . thanks.

Just make sure the soap you buy is not abrasive. That is not what you should be looking for. What makes a soap good for cleaning is how much suds it produces. The more suds it produces, the less chance particles on your wash mit will scratch your car surface.

The Zaino car wash is very nice, and helps maintain the Zaino as it contains a small amount of the polish itself.

Out of curiosity, why are you trying to avoid it?

I'm always curious about people avoiding Zaino for the price, best I can tell, its maybe a couple bucks more for their product than some off the shelf stuff. But if a couple bucks keeps your $30,000 investment looking great, isnt it worth it?

Kind of reminds me of a couple guys I play golf with. Bigshot business types, terrible golfers with $3,000 worth of clubs in their $200 bags on their $500 electric pull carts. Yet they dig in the used ball bucket for 25 cent ***** rather than pay for new *****.

I've been using the NXT car wash for awhile now and it seems to do a good job.

Actually the amount of suds has nothing to do with the lubricity of the soap. There are soaps that do not sud that provide more lubrication than soaps that do sud.

The Zaino soap is very good though and works well with the Zaino polish.

As far as price goes, if you break it down into cost per application Zaino is very reasonably priced because of how thin it is applied.

Thats because they lose their ***** all the time no doubt...

if they had to throw away a new club everytime they played, they'd use cheaper clubs too

You want to use a car shampoo (soap) that is compatible with synthetic polymer polishes. If you're using Zaino, the optimum thing to use is Z-7. If you want to save some bucks, get a gallon of the Meguirers Deep Crystal car wash. I use it on my wheels and my other cars. Z-7 on the Z's paint.

zaino or no zaino...

Detergents such as dish washing liquid makes some incredible suds, but contain alcohol (read the label). There are some home car products which I consider safe for car washing (Murphys Oil for one), but the cost is the same as car wash.

BTW budget car wash for $2.00/gallon is garbage. Buy a major brand car wash, and you will wax the car less often.

Happy washing.
