But beyond that, all the places that water normally leaks out of were dry... this includes badges, front lights back lights; well all lights, and doors, handles you name it. So for a summary coming from some one who isn't 100% about a leaf blower I give it an 8 out of 10... Cool experience like I said.
Great. Another “blow” convert I believe. I had been drying cars the regular way for 38 years before trying a blower. This old dog learned a new trick. I keep discovering new areas to blow:

windshield wipers
inside the rear splash guards (they hold a inch of water)
The white back up lights - these also hold water
rear license place - hold the blower at a angle to blow water from under the plate
outside mirrors

How about using a dry towel after you wash it to dry it off...

The leaf blower isn't used for drying a car like you would dry your hair with a blow dryer. Most of us use a leaf blower to blow the water out of places that a towel can't get to - the area around the rear hatch, in every crack and crevice, under all the badges and emblems, etc.

Once you get the water out of those impossible to reach places, then you can use a towel to absorb it.

I tell you what, I noticed a few of these places and the obvious ones of course... but my favorite part of it was defiantly my wheels. The water flew right off of them, and I didn't have to hurt my knees while drying them individually for X amount of time... IT WAS FKING SWEET!

Although I did catch my neighbor observing my behavior... I'll wait to see if he tries it next time he washes his car! (I bet he does).

I just got my Toro model #51591. Its recommended by Consumer Reports as one of the most powerful blowers sold. Can’t wait to give it a try.

Um... I think people use leaf blowers to SAVE time.

(I know this isn't exactly a timely reply)

Here's the one I got, Craftsman, 150mph, 280cfm and it kicks some ***. I cannot POSSIBLY imagine needing 215mph (Not that having too much power is a bad thing ) because this thing already dries the car really quickly.

In fact it left some water spots because I accidentally let the blower evaporate too much of the water).

My only gripe is that it can't get the water out of the inner lip of my new rims, it just pushes the water around back there. By inner lip, I mean the lip of the wheel that faces inside the wheel well, not the lip you're thinking of that faces the outside.

This blower is 50% off at Sears today & tommorow only $17.49! You can buy it online and select in-store pickup or have it shipped free with mail in rebate.
