Keeping Frost Interior Clean?
hey guys,
ive got a daytona blue touring model w/ the frost interior.. it gets pretty dirty quickly from things like jeans, marks from shoes, etc..
i was wondering what those of you with frost do to keep it clean.. and those of you w/ the touring package, what products are good for cleaning/protecting the leather in our cars?

My frost leather has hardly picked up any dirt, so I haven't had this problem yet.

I don't have the frost interior but I really like the Pinnacle Interior products. Top Class all the way.

wow.. thanks for the links.. i didnt know how maticulous car detailing actually was.. and expensive as well! right now im using Zymol and this Auto Magic stuff my dads body shop uses.. the Auto Magic stuff is the best ive used.. Zymol is not bad either.. however i read about everyone on here using Zaino and now im thinking of trying that too..
another note.. it says that our Z's leather is coated with vinyl.. is that correct? and that we should use only a rubber/vinyl cleaner for it? this is probably true because i used some of my dad's turtle wax emerald class leather conditioner and it didnt do a thing..

I don't know if "coated with vinyl" was the best term. Im not completly sure how it works (one of the chemists in the industry was trying to explain it to me and i kinda glazed over the sea of jargon). Basicaly, leather is water treated and sprayed a special way they makes theese oil based "conditioners" obsolite and unnescesary. He said that the oils could actiually begin to break the finish down....perhaps softeening it in the short run, but weakening it in the long run.
Some companies are changing their formulas to be water-based resin protectants (think 303, and other water based vinyl/rubber protectants)...but, they like to sell more products, so they market them as "rich leather conditioner". Meguiars has done this i beleive.
Then there are the old school formulas like Lexol, which truly "feeding oil" type conditioners. On non-water treated leather theese can work great, but i find its best not to use them in auto leather.
Do what I do, clean with a quality vinyl cleaner (Griots Interior Cleaner is great and fairly cheap), the just protect with a water based protectant such as 303.
