some questions for SB and z5
is there anyone here with a SB who used z5 to cover the swirl and fine scratches? (without a swirl cutting job with pc or rotary that is)
how many coats of z5 did you have to put on until the swirl was invisible?
when the swirl is gone after certain number of coats, does it prevent swirl from coming back as long as i keep adding coats of z5 regularly?
my swirl is not too bad yet. looks pretty light to me, but it is very visible under the sun. lots of fine scratches as well. as i live in a busy apartment complex, i do not have electricity or space to try PC, so z5 is my last hope after unsuccessful result with NXT and some other products..
plz help.
thank you.

I don't have a SB but do have a DB which being a dark color can have the same problems...
The number of coats of Z-5 depends on how severe the swirls and how well you want to cover them. Keep it mind that the worse the swirling, the less effective the Z-5 will be. You can only do so much with a cover-up. If you're careful with your paint and you have only minor swirl marks, you might be able to get by with two or three coats ever couple of months.
The swirl is never really gone. The Z-5 acts as a filler of sorts and makes them less visible. It doesn't really prevent them but occasional Z-5 use will help keep them hidden.
Have you looked into the Zaino swirl removal product (Z-PC)?

It says that you can do it by machine or by hand, which I've never tried, but it might be something to consider for a permanent solution to your problem.
