Default Meguiars Gold Class or Meguiars NXT?

Please take the poll. I am doing away with Zaino as it leaves cloudiness on my Redline and my ZFX dried up while sitting inside my house (a waste of $20). Trying something different and I have a bottle of Gold Class and NXT in my garage. Thoughts? And no I am not going back to Zaino polish, too much of a PITA! BTW, I am taking it in Friday to get it Wet Sanded (professionally) to get rid of most of the swirls and all of the minor scratches.

Between the two options you have listed, I am more partial to the Meguiar's NXT.

From my experience it is easier to apply and rub off and provides a better luster than the Gold Class.

My vote in this poll, however, is "other."

My recommendation:
Mother's Reflections Car Wax
Mother's Reflections Top Coat

Brilliant shine and luster. Easy application and buffing off.

Here's the results from the first time I detailed my 350 with it:
  • Washed with Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo
  • Meguiar's Clay bar with Zymol quick detail spray
  • wash again
  • Meguiar's #7 show car glaze (polish)
  • Mothers Reflections Car wax
  • Mothers Reflections Top Coat
  • applied with terry cloths and buffed with microfiber cloths

Thanks, I will def. use the NXT on my PPW 02 Maxima, but am debating what to use on my Redline. I would really prefer a polish geared towards darker colors!

Trust me, NXT is something else. I have a black Maxima with plenty of swirls, and upon waxing with NXT, I have been told that it "hurts the eyes" just looking at it. It shines that much, not to mention fills swirls unlike any other polish/wax. I have used many different waxes in the past, but NXT just brings a depth to dark paint that I cannot get from anything else. It has to be seen to be believed. You have a bottle, just try it out! If you want even better results, after shampooing, claying, and re-shampooing, put on one coat of Maguiar's #3 Show Car Glaze (pure polish) and then two coats of NXT. I flipped out the first time I did that. Paint looked like you could step right into it

I like Meguires hi-tech yellow wax better then gold class. Definetly use the Meguires in the yellow bottles not the red.

Okay, I am going to use NXT on the Maxima and I am using 3M fine cut rubbing compound, followed by a 3M Wax and then a polish, with an orbital of course. I'll let you know how it turns out.

NXT is fantastic for SB.
When I changed my 350z emblem to the FairladyZ one, I scratched the paint with the floss used to debadge. NXT filled the scratches and swirls like they weren't there in the first place.

Highly recommended, NXT wash solution is good, too.

That will be redundant. NXT alone will be enough as long as the paint is clean (well-clayed). Every now and then, I use one coat of Maguair's #3 Show Car Glaze before applying my usual two of NXT.

I applied Zymol on my Z and it looks very nice.
