Specks On Door Panels
Has anyone noticed numerous white specs all over their door Panels? I only notice them when the sun hits it. At first i thought it was lint from the cloth i used to clean them. Maybe its the wearing of the honeycomb texture the door is made up of and sunlight reflects differently off of them. I only use water and a terry cloth to clean the panels. Looks hidious when visible.
Before I owned a Z i liked the door panels, they look racey. Now that I have one, the panels are a pain to keep up and wear horribly.

I haven’t the faintest idea what year 350Z you drive, but the 2004 inside door panels are similar. With the door open and the sun at certain angles, you can clearly see specks of reflective silver.

I have a 2003..
.. recognise me yet?
Never seen any silver reflective specks... however.. if you use armorall or another product like it on the doors .. they will get spotted.. is this what your talking about?

Those specks are from the protective film that was covering the interior door panel. It was a white plastic with an adhesive backing. Try using a goo-gone type product and then re-clean and protect the surface.
I have a 2005. No its not the protective file, however I did notice some of the film on the very bottom of my door (I still need to get it off). As for silver reflective specks, we maybe talking about the same thing, but the specks aren't really reflective (more white). And no I have only used water to clean my doors. It looks like some of the honeycomb textures of the door panel are worn different than the rest, resulting in a reflection of various white specks on the panel. Thanks for all the info and experiences fellow Zeers!!!
