its going to take several cleanings to get the smell off. its the thyols in it, humans are very sensitive to it. clean the tires, wheel wells, undercarriage ....every last inch. you can use homemade cleaners (watch mythbusters for the ones that work) or an industrial cleaner. i just hope your AC wasnt on with the 'outside air' function.

skunks stink, i can only imagine what its like hitting one. they spray out where im at and it just stinky, like 100ft away or more! it reeks!

gl with it. (ever watch that seinfeld episode with jerrys bimmer got a 'smell')

A combination of baking soda, water and vinegar works to get the skunk smell off dogs. Maybe it would work on a car, and it might be paint-safe.

+1. You can get a big can at a food warehouse such as Sysco.

Seriously tho, that sucks. But you can't be the first person this has ever happened to. Have you looked online for any solutions?

Yup, I looked everywhere online for help....no one has any info on the subject it would seem.

So I detailed my G (again) this morning, and again before starting it still smelt worse inside!!! aHHHHHHHHHHHHH so pissed........

So I tryed using the same product I use in my airplane when someone pukes (its call ozanator) but it barely did anything!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH even more pissed....

I've got a date with this cutie tonight, and god damn, this isent going to help me make a good impression!!!!!

Now I'm desperate to get the smell out ASAP!!!

Maby I could just tell my date that I'm a heavy pot smoker....um???? That wont work either as I've never, ever smoked any pot that smelt that DANK!!!!

I'm about to start crying now.....

Before she gets in the car give her an air freshener to wear around her neck, seriously that sux man.

I would just take the advice of the others who posted and just keeping repeating over and over.

I could have sworn there was another unfortunate member of my350z that was in the same predicament, well with the skunk at least.

GOOD LUCK!

OK guys. Tomato juice is acidic, and it has salt in it. That combination will lead to rust on any unprotected iron or steel surfaces...

Default Smell removing

Found this ....

Tip: Skunk Odor Removal from Car Exterior
If you are unfortunate enough to encounter a skunk with your car, you can remove the odor by dissolving one cup of dry mustard in a bucket of water. Use this solution to wash your car. Use a mop to wipe the wheels and underbody, repeating if necessary.

and this ...

How can I get the skunk smell off my car?

Hydrogen peroxide is the main ingredient in commercial skunk scent remover--AND it's dirt cheap.
1. Fill a spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide, and spray the affected part of your car.
2. You'll know you've found the source of the odor when you see the peroxide foaming.
3. Don't forget to spray your tires!
4. Wipe the peroxide off quickly, as it has the potential to bleach some surfaces.
