I bought a used carbon fiber hood from a friend for $50. he had taken it off his G because the clear coat started to haze and turn white real bad, well he later sold the G, thats where i got the good deal for cheap.

i spoke to several paint shops and they said i would have to get it wetsanded and recleared.

instead of that i bought some Mequiars ScratchX and buffed the crap out of the hood, with several coats. then i used their detailing polish on the whole hood to restore the shine, then coated it all in the NXT Tech wax. Now the hood looks brand new. I ran out of scratchX so im gonna buy some more to hit a few spots, but i now swear by their products. they saved me about $300, the products cost me $30 total.

if anybody else has this problems id suggest using Mequiars.
