Thanks. Do you know if they will custom make a cover to accomodate my spoiler and body kit? Not sure if the standard one will fit, but I'll wait on your pix

EDIT: Also, how long does it take to put the cover on/take it off?

I'll get you a pic tonight if I remember...hehe.. if not, PM me.

It takes me like 2 mins, maybe 1.5 mins to take on/off. Really easy.

It's huge though, it takes up half the trunk (I put it between the driver's seat and the strut bar).

Here you go, pics of the wolf cover.

I tried to show the detail in the fabric, the inside is really soft.

I didn't exactly try to make it pretty either, I just threw it on as fast as possible.

I should add, the dealer wanted $219+tax for an OEM cover. This was like $186 total. From the pic posted, this one seems much thicker and therefore more protection (against evil cat claws) than the OEM.

It doesn't have a license plate hole, so if you plan on parking it on the street, you might want to consider that. I park mine in a gated area so I don't have to worry about the license plate showing.

That is the exact same kimberly clark material as the cover I bought, although mine is covercraft. Mine looks to identical to yours. FYI I bought it from a website for the "regular" price they offer, and it was $160 shipped. So Covercraft is not always more. I have had it for a while now, no major complaints. The car does get wet in heavy rain though, as long as you can deal with that...

Alright, I lied.

Both my digital cameras are broken at the moment.

But the pics above are exactly what it looks like. Soft cover on the inside and a durable exterior. I haven't had any issues with water penetration during rain.

I searched the net for the best deal I could get on the 'Evolution' fabric and got my Wolf cover shipped to me for ~$115.

I got mine from weathershield. It came out to about 270 shipped. It was a custom fit for my g35 coupe. The inside material is pretty soft. It fit on perfectly. Theres no antennae hole (because I don't have one). There isn't a screen for the license plate either (not sure why you really need that to begin with? So cops can write your plates down in the event that you get a ticket?? LOL). The best part about the car cover is that it comes with custom colors. The bad part about it is that if you get a custom color, u won't be able to return it (unless its defective of course). I'm pretty satisfied with it and i think it looks pretty bad ***. Its different than the traditional gray color covers. Do keep in mind that if you have a light color car (like white) to not use a black cover. But that's common sense right?

it comes with a grommet too for locking. And this is also with my nismo body kit.. no problems what-so-ever.

one question for you. I purchased my car cover with the optional padlock. It says to run a cable under the car to both sides of the grommet (obviously). My question is, how do you do that? I had a pretty hard time getting the wire across the bottom of the car.. lol. I even tried throwing it across and it was just a pain in the butt. Maybe you have a good strategy to do this.

I do just as you do: Throw the cable under the car.

You could always get a metal coat hanger and straighten it out except for the hook. That way you'll be aby to reach at least half way across the under carriage.

I just got an OEM cover from a fellow member for $100 and its well worth it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long and thick the cable is that you use to lock the cover b/c I didn't get one and I'd rather just pick one up from walmart rather than ordering a cable online.

In some locales the laws require that any vehicle parked on the city streets must have the identifying tags visible.

Just determine the size holes through the grommets in the cover. Should be about 0.25" Ø.

sure, but what about the length? I bought a 6' cable and it seems way too short.

I couldn't imagine it would be longer than 9-10 ft.

I bought my cable at an autoparts store and it came with the lock and was of necessary length. It might be a good idea to check out a local pepboys.

Do any of the covers recommended or others provide protection from the car getting wet in heavy rain? Also, do any of these covers scratch the actual car?

A waterproof cover (if you can afford one) is a trade-off. If water cannot get in, then it cannot get out. Condensation would be a problem. When you removed the cover in the morning, the car would be wet.

i just thought of the cable thing. Just spread it out on the street or where ever you park and roll over it so that way you don't have to throw it around. Then cover car and just connect one at a time. Im sure someone does it this way.
