Engine Protection
I am storing my ZR for a year in my garage and I am done with the maint. however I had a question about covering the engine bay.
Can I cover it with bubble plastic? Dumb question, but I get a lot of dust in my garage and would like to protect the engine from all the dust? I know not to put blankets because of the rats, ect, but will plastic hurt anything? BTW, the ZR will be covered with an OEM Nissan car cover!
The wife looked at me like I was some alien from outer space, LOL!
Thoughts?
I already removed the battery and plugged the muffler and air intake up with oily rags.

DMZ duty ?
FYI, I've heard you need to put a gasoline stabilizer additive into your tank if you're going to leave it for a long time. Gasoline can and will break down / separate. I read this in a classic car magazine a long time ago.
Also, I assume you're putting it on blocks?
But, as far as the engine bay goes... aren't you using a car cover already? That should be enough for dust. You sound a bit paranoid to me, hehe...

I am not putting it on blocks. I put the stock tires on padded carpet. I hope that will suffice. I also have Volks in the closet, so not worried if the stockers go to ****.
