the 'Protector'
apologies for the cross thread from General. Dealer is pushing the 'Protector' program ($750.00). Interior, exterior wet sand clearcoat and rustproof. Anyone heard of this? Opinions? Thanks.

Well, considering that the car is rust proofed by Nissan that's just more unnecessary excess. I don't know about the clear coat... you figure that the Z's already incorporate a clear coat... would another be necessary and actually strengthen the current paint?

Its a scam!
DO NOT! I REPEAT! DO NOT buy any dealer "Comfort or Protection" packages!
If teh dealer already has it on the car, then demand they remove the charge for it!
Its how dealers pad their profits and its BS!
3 dealers in my areas charged for this:
Baker Jackson = $1595
Peacock = $495 + $1,500 premium
Streeter Smith = $1,895
Only streeter agreed to remove the charge..so thats where I bought it.
