ICE cleaning

is it worth the $16 for the polisher kit thing (w/ scrubber) and the extra $10 for the detailer?
And does it really leave no marks/residue?

My brother-in-law has a bottle and I tried some on white. Like a true wax it does not clean. So count on two steps: clean then ICE.
