Car Cover for 350Z
Hi all
I have a month old black 350Z and no garage. Worse - my parking spot is right under a tree that oozes this really sticky crap !!.
I was looking at car covers - the ones from Nissan retail for almost $300. Do any of you have recommendations for places where I can get one cheaper ?. Of course, anyother tried and tested brands are welcome too !!.
I am worried that I will end up scratching the clear coat with a cheap cover.
Thanks

i have the nissan 350z coupe exact fit car cover basically the same one as u were speaking of and it works great... the water and rain run off it like magic and it is really a good investment if u have no garage but if u were like me and fixed it up then u wont have no use for the cover and it will be outside... so i have one now that i dont use ne more maybe gonna sell but yeah if ur gonna mod and put a kit or stuff on it then dont get the nissan one, not saying its bad but just cause it wont fit later on...

I got the Custom Dustop ($150) for indoor use, and it is awesome.
I bet the outdoor ones are just as good.

I bought the Genuine Nissan cover from Courtesy. It has all the features that you would expect for $200:
Window for license plate
Antenna pouch
Grommets for tie-down
Insulation to protect from exhaust burn
The cover is on the Z about 16 hours/day: wind, rain and snow. Its water repellent, not waterproof. A light rain and the car is dry. During a heavy downpour, the car will get wet. For care, I wash it in a front loading commercial machine, then dry it on the car. Then spray the top with Scotch Guard. I can take it on or off in about 3 minutes. A week after washing the Z (and using the cover), the Z is clean except for the front wheels. Definitely recommended.

I've got the Wolf Evolution fabric cover. Bought it from some internet site for about $100+shipping.
Great cover. Excellent fit. Very good in the weather conditions - granted, SoCal doesn't exactly have horrible weather.
Only issue is that it doesn't have a pocket for the antenna so you have to either cut a hole in the cover or (do what I do and...) remove the antenna.

a. Hot as hell in the car on a sunny day
b. Condensation under the cover. In the morning when you remove the cover, the surface of the car would be wet. Now you have the hassle of a cover with the inside wet. How do you conveniently dry it?
