Default Help, Water Stains

All of my windows have water stains or something else that I can not get off. The stains look like they have gone though a thin layer of glass. I have had this problem since I got the car last Nov. I have used 3 glass cleaners and news paper, White Vinegar (left it on for 10 min and did this 3 times), Cleaner Wax (5 coats), and this stains are still there. I have done a search and have looked at all the threads about this problem, there are other products that have worked for other people on this form. I just don't want to spend more money on products that don't work. I will post pics later today, any help is welcome, thanks.

While I can't imagine it being that bad on a relatively new car, but it is possible that the glass has been etched. There is a polishing compound made for glass than you can buy at most glass suppliers (I'm not at home so I can't recall the name). You can use a polisher/buffer like you'd use on your paint to apply this stuff. It will remove the toughest of water marks or etched windows.

At first I thought the cloud's reflection was the stain. LOL
(Back to topic) Those are some pretty bad water stains. I'm wondering what caused them. Acid rain maybe. Did any chemicals fall on your glass perhaps?

True...This might be a far fetched idea, but maybe that CLR cleaner might work. It's the cleaner you use in your bath tub to get rid of calcium, lime, and rust stains. Not too sure how it would work on glass. Might wanna be careful not to get on paint either.

The stuff I have is called "Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover". I bought it many years ago. It is the paste, not a liquid. I did a search and found something with the same name and looks like from the same company but it appears to be a liquid.

CLR is fairly caustic, wouldn't want to take the chance of getting it on a painted surface.

Try a 1:1 solution of water and vinegar, maybe stronger if necessary. Soak a cloth and lay i on the glass and let it sit for a while. This should work unless the glass is actually etched, which would be difficult to imagine. If that doesn't work, try some glass polish and a machine polisher as mentioned somewhere above.

Edit: Just saw that you already tried vinegar.
