In all seriousness, I was considering just using some Simple-Green-Automotive-soaked rags and carefully wiping down all the places that are particularly dirty (top of the plenum, engine/fluid covers, etc.), then doing the same with a water-soaked rag to rinse. Thoughts?

If you want your car to star when you are finished I would suggest wrapping the MAF in plastic and sealing with duct tape. I would also wrap your afetrmarket filter (ie JWT). Just my

The leaf blower is a key step. It prevents water spots. Also prevents water from sitting in the engine bay.

Okay. So is there anything I should cover up or that I should not get water on?

Thanks...not sure If I'm going to actually use a water spray, but if I do, the MAF and the JWT will definitely get sealed up watertight.

Man...the things I do to make one little polished strut bar look better. (can't be putting shiny new mods in a filthy engine bay...LOL)

Can you use that Mother's Back to Black on the side view mirror trim where it looks like black plastic? The wax doesnt seem to take to that location well. Any advice on the plastic exterior of the car?
