thanks for all the comments guys! i did everything by hand, starting with a wash with dawn, meguiar's claybar, then as the title says two coats of nxt. I put the first coat on, waited about 20 minutes then removed it. Second coat, waited about 20-25 min before i took it off. I used aerospace 303 on the interior and cleaned my windows with stoner's invisible glass. BlueBoxer, I used a microfiber mitt for my wash using the two bucket method (one with soapy water, one with just water to rinse the mitt before putting it into the soapy one again) then i used a meguiar's waffle weave water magnet to dry it. i applied the liquid nxt using the meguiar's applicator pads and took it off using a really soft terry cloth, haha also from meguiar's. I really have to owe it to the meguiar's class I attened with other fellow members (http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...0&pagenumber=1)
I really learned a lot of very important techniques like how much pressure to use when using claybar, or how thin of a layer of wax is really needed.
rockinbboy, it's not a good comparison since you took those pictures a few days after the wax, after the rain and in no sun, etc. I took these pics moments after i was done. but i'm sure yours looked good as well
yg_jonzz, thanks that's very flattering, i'm way too slow at this right now since it took me from 9:30 till around 3:30 or 4:00. maybe when i get a dual action polisher that will change everything. I had fun though, i had a few beers while doing it too. a perfect way to spend the day off of work.
Wired 24/7, hey mike haha now it's going to suck because i was planning on going with zaino all this time and now i did meguiar's. I was actually considering going to the socal distributor and buying the starter kit but it's all the way in West LA and i didn't feel like losing precious sick time from work to do all of that when i could just go to kragen and pick up a bottle of nxt. I really want to do zaino sometime though especially Z-8. But i dont see that happening anytime soon since I put all that work into applying the wax by hand to strip it off.
edit, oh i forgot to mention i used Eagle One Tire Shine on my tires using a foam applicator, and Meguiar's Multi-Piece wheel cleaner I got free from the meguiar's class. I learned the first time using the multi-piece cleaner that it dries your hands out like a b*tch! I got wise this time around by wearing rubber gloves while cleaning my wheels with the wheel cleaner and also wearing them when applying the tire shine.
