Default Polish over wax?

ive been using megs NXT for the last several weeks on my SS but i have noticed latley that i have some minor swirl marks onthe hood and roof. Do i need to strip the wax off to polish the car or can i just polish over the wax?

I used the deep crystal system on it earlier in the summer and still have all the product laying around but is it necessary to clean the paint again before polishing and waxing? Is it bad to clean the paint too often?

tried searching but didnt really find that i was looking for

thanks in advance

Polish will remove the wax, after all it's abrasive and removes a small amount of clearcoat so you have to expect any wax will be gone from the area you polish.

What do you mean by "cleaning the paint"? If you're talking about washing, then that's not a problem. If you're talking about a polish/cleaner then it's definitely something you want to do as little as possible.

cool thanks

i was planning on using meguiars #9 to remove the swirls and then topping that with NXT

so the steps would be:

wash
megs #9
NXT x2

does that sound about right?
