Goo Gone won't harm paint but there is something named Goof Off that will definitely strip paint off of anything. Maybe that's what you used.

THAT is what I used! You're right! My Bad. Sorry about that.

"Goof Off" took the paint off my garage floor, not "Goo Gone".

At least you did make the mistake that some others have made where they used Goof Off to attempt to remove something from a cars paint.
