So there isn't a self serve car wash where you live? If so, heres what I used to when I lived in an apartment.

Put soap and water in a large bucket at home and then hand wash at the car wash. Do it at an off-peak hour as most say you cant bucket wash. GL!

Sorry about the predicament.

Carrying water (pump) is not effective: its not enough water to properly rinse. Soap residue left on the car will be worse than not washing it at all.

I am on freaking water restriction here in dallas so I am forced to go to the self serve car washs an use the bucket method b/c the spray soap does not get all the dirt off. They all have those signs here but no one has said anything to me yet.

Buy some five gallon buckets and do it at your apartment.

I use a cali duster 2-3x a week with Z8. If I'm good about it (even moreso if I kept it covered) I could go a long time between washes. As it is I go 3 weeks or so if I keep up with it during the week.

You can get a threaded/screw-type faucet for your sink (bathroom or kitchen, whatever). Then get a LONG ...... LONG hose, and run it down to the alley or your parking space or whatever.

I've seen it done... may sound like a PITA but your other option is to go to your local scratch-a-z "hand wash" for $8.

So there isn't a self serve car wash where you live?
This is the other option: a coin-op carwash place where they provide the hose, soap etc.

You beat me to it, this is what I had to do when I lived in San Francisco with no hoses outside. I just connected a hose up to my kitchen sink and washed away

After you have washed and waxed a good time, you can do the following IF your car has not gotten wet from rain/dew, etc:

Get a Kozak waterless wash cloth and wipe it every day follow with quik detailer if you want. I love it in the spring with all the pollen too!!! Use it for 3 weeks and get a new one.

They have a website--search Kozak

I have only washed my C5 (2002) 4 times and it wins best of show every time I enter it.

Quick Easy Wash!! Best stuff I ever bought!!!! I live in an apartment complex with a garage, no hose access and I still manage to wash my car twice a week. I'm a pro now that I can wash and dry my car in 20 min. All I need is 2 buckets, warm water, 2 oz's of QEW, and a meguiar's waffle weave water magnet. That's it!!

Oh and another thing, I dont know how it works so amazingly, but after I'm done washing my car with it it's so clean that I can eat off of it (of course that would be unheard of!) but it's really that clean. Even under the sideskirts and around the rear mudguards, my drying towel is still CLEAN!! Now WTF is that??

It's also safe to use with your waxes so you dont have to worry about it stripping anything. And best of all, after I fill the bucket with the mixture of water and qew, I take my empty spray bottle and dunk it in the bucket. it doubles as a quick detailer too! No scratches on my car from using this stuff either. Can you tell I am in love with this stuff? lol
I bought a gallon jug and I only use 2 oz each time I wash. That equals a lot of washes!

haha yeah that's the most common reaction, "how come no one else knows about this stuff??" "how could it be around for so long and I've never heard about it" I was the same way..

Here's one of the best tutorials

Here's one in the winter

And here's a different way of doing it using microfibers

Amazing stuff, I know!
