i rubbed off some paint on the underside of the wheel well today when pulling into the garage. im so mad!
i have about 1/2" on the right side of the car where i park bc of some stupid shelf ******** thing thats built into the wall. my garage was parked and i wanted to give myself some extra room to get out of the car and didnt angle enough away from the shelf... now i got this nasty scrape
that ****ing shelf is getting ripped out of the wall this weekend.

Ouch sorry to hear that bro. I feel your pain. To answer your question, no touch up pens don't work. Least in my expereince. It wont look like it originally did. It will probably look worse. If you want it looking new again your best bet is to take it to a qualified nissan body shop and have them pop off the fender, sand it down, and repaint it. That's what I'm having to do to my hood, fender, and front bumber from a stupid gravel truck. Total damage cost to have it all sanded and repainted was about $500. Should be around 100-200 to have your fender restored. Sorry to hear it and good luck.
I have the pen with the clearcoat from courtesy. I tried it on a few nicks and at first it did match the color. The next day when everything dried up, its hardly noticeable. But on the rim, the touch up pen is slightly a different color than the rim. I know because i have this huge rash which i tried to cover up with touch up paint. From far away it blends well, but up close you can see the difference.
You could try the touch up paint, but most likely it will not look to good especially on a crease like that. Just take the time to get it professionally repaired, it's a new car. If you just use touch up, I dont think the car will feel the same to you, well it wouldnt for me.
