Default Evil Scratches

So, after having someone who was moving out put a box on the middle of my hood, then drag it accross...plus a kid on a bike raking the side, I am curious as to the best way to take care of scratches.

They don't feel particularly deep, but I see some silver in them (I have a black car). What's the best way to take care of these? Seems like body shops want $100 per scratch, which seems a bit ridiculous to me.

Pics will definitely help.

May be able to buff out with a PC Random Orbital and some polish, or may need touch-up paint/wetsand/polish, but can't tell unless we have pics.

I took some pictures but I can't really tell anything from them as it is such a reflective surface it was difficult to take.

Here is the link: http://www.elsafes.com/gallery2/v/MyGoodies/350Z/

The first one is on the hood, the second is on the side.

The Clear Coat will appear white or silver if its scratched --If so a gentle hand buff may fix it
