Clean with soapy water just like you would use on your car.

Shine with Meguiars Endurance gel. Lasts a long time, doesn't sling.

Whatever you use to wash the car will be fine for the wheels. If you have baked-on brake dust, cleaning can be a bit trickier than just soap and water. You have to be very careful about using "wheel cleaners" as they can contain chemicals that will damage fine wheels like your Volks.

As for the Endurance Gel -- mine's a couple years old and is still a nice think gel. If your has separated, then you need to get some new stuff. Did you leave it when it could get real hot or cold? Temperature extremes can cause products to break down like you're seeing.

No super autobacks said they had a problem with their shipment and they would return or exchage the product for one that works.

is this normal or safe?
