Default Need Tips for preping 18' wheels

I want to put either Crystal Guard or Zaino on my touring rims. What type of prep work should i do?

I already have 3 coats of cheap wax. So i assume i should use Dawn. Can i clay bar the rims? Or will it remove the sealer/clear coat?

thoughts?

Treat them just as you would the rest of the car. They're just a silver paint with a clear coat. Clay bar won't hurt it.
