New Paint Wax or no wax?

Default New Paint Wax or no wax?

HEy guys my car should be back from the body shop tomorrow with my new body kit, so i was going to wax clay bar and wax my car, so is it bad to put wax on the newly painted stuff?

No, it will not hurt it. As long as the paint has had enough time to cure. Check with the paint shop to see how long that is. If that time has lapsed, then... wax away...

If you are just getting it back from the shop, as in it was painted within the last week, no wax. Wait at least 2-3 months before waxing a newly painted part to allow it to fully cure and reach its hardening potential

when i got my car, i didn't wax it after 3 months. just follw the rule of thumb

New cars are a different story, they are ready to wax as soon as you pick up, they paint is cured in an oven from the factory, and then its shipped over on a ship, so by the time is reaches you its fully cured
