Unhappy Please help!(Front rubbed on a curb)

My Grandfather rubbed the lower front of the car in a curb and look at the damage.

Is there some special kind of polish for plastic parts so i can take the yellow paint out?

For the section where the original paint was scraped completely off, I was thinking of getting an airbrush (like those used for model building) and using the touch up paint (wich I already ordered from courtesy parts). What do you think of this?

Please help

No real advice sorry. But I feel your pain. I curbed my front rim right after I scraped the bottom of the front end on a driveway I was trying to get into to see a garage I wanted to rent. I didn't rent that garage!! Man, was that a trauma.

If I was you, and I'm sure others would have better advice, I would stop by a local body shop. I gouged a similar amount of body on an integra I had, and they fixed it better than new for just over a hundred dollars. It might be worth the trip just to see what suggestions a pro might offer you.

Good luck.

Ugh! Glad to know I'm not alone. I was in a rush to get back from lunch today and backed out too fast. I ended up hitting the curb causing damage similar to s9am_me's. I am absolutely sick to my stomach. I think I may go the touch up pen route.

ricastm8, I'm sorry to see what happened. In your particular case, I would second alienx's advice, see what a body shop says. You probably can fix it by yourself but I would be scared to cause more damage taking the yellow paint off. A little over $100 seems like a really good deal to not have to worry about it.

Best of luck!
