Looks great! I imagine that takes quite a while even with good equipment and the correct compounds.

not really the strut bar took a hour or so, the heat shield 15 mins? having the equip makes the difference.

I was going to do that to my strut bar as well. When removing the finish was it painted or just cleared?

when you remove the finish its raw aluminum?lol. im not sure if it's powdercoated or painted? it was some work sanding it off though.

It would if you were stripping the entire bar, but i wanted to keep the ends the factory black, and only polish the area that was silver from the factory. polishing the ends would be a total pia

Well I would probaly strip the whole piece, polish the bar, repaint the ends then clear the whole thing.

which creates more work? it's easier just to sand it.
