Question What is used to Shine up Door Handles (Recommendations?)

Any one use or know what I would do to shine up the handles, or what material they are made of?

i assume the material is same as the passenger door metal piece on the handle? If thats the case, just leave it alone... cuz i rubbed polish on it once and it seems as if the clear coat came off.

I'm assuming you mean the exterior door handles. If that's the case, then they are actually a hard polymer/plastic composite and not aluminum which many people are led to believe. There is a thin coating/film over them which gives the metal appearance.

To clean, use a mild car wash soap, but I would avoid anything abrasive.

I have found that the door handles do not take wax well. Clean with Windex.

i use the same "meguiars speed detailer" that i use on the paints finish on my door handles. Takes off finger prints and all that jazz just fine without scratching.
