Default Wheel Cleaning Help.

Kept my wheels on during the winter, never do that again, and now they have dirt that I can't get off. Looks like the dirt and grim is into the clear.
I tried clay, soap and water, wheel cleaner and nothing seems to work. I thought about using some very very fine grit sand paper with some clay liquid and slowly massaging the wheel area to see if this works.

What do you guys think?

Try high temperature steam cleaning methods.

Photos would be helpful.

I recommend a light compound such as 3M 39002.

Out of town at the moment, so no photos available. Thanks for the suggestions.
